Northern Minnesotans could see a mix of rain, ice, thunderstorms and snow this weekend, March 14-16.
The National Weather Service in Duluth said rain and thunderstorms develop over most of Northern Minnesota starting Friday, transitioning into snow Saturday before blustery winds begin on Sunday.

Some areas of Northern Minnesota could see up to 4 inches of snow, with a stronger chance for more concentrated snow between Detroit Lakes, Fosston and Bemidji.

A few wilderness campsites may be closed, but there are no other closures in the Boundary Waters. There is currently a campfire ban within the area because of dry conditions.
