Editor's Note: This story was updated 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, to report authorities found the body of Benjamin James Sherwood.
MOUNTAIN IRON — The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office reports a Mountain Iron man missing since Tuesday morning, March 11, was found dead at his residence on Wednesday morning.
Benjamin James Sherwood, 39, was last seen leaving his home Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities said no foul play is suspected in the case and offered thoughts and prayers for Sherwood’s family.
Sherwood's wife said her husband left on foot, had recently suffered an injury to his back and neck and suffers from a prior traumatic brain injury.

There was a possible sighting in Virginia Tuesday afternoon and the sheriff’s office had asked people to check their security cameras.
Numerous ground and aerial searches were conducted but Sherwood had not yet been located when the sheriff’s office issued a plea for the public’s help about 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
