BRAINERD — The Brainerd Warriors Dance Team won the Minnesota State High School League Class 3A high kick title for the second year in a row.
The team was also a finalist in the jazz competition, finishing fourth at the state competition Feb. 14-15 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Crosby-Ironton made finals in both categories in the Class A tournament. The Rangers placed fourth in kick and fifth in jazz.

"This has been a historic year for CIDT, doubling our team size and dancing with 50% of our team being rookies," a post from the team's Facebook read. "We have put in a lot of work to get to this point, and it was so rewarding to see the effort and dedication pay off.
"We are going to miss our seniors terribly, but the legacy they are leaving behind will stick with the team for years to come."
