AURORA — St. Louis County and the city of Aurora will present a preliminary layout for County State Aid Highway 100 at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21.
The two entities are planning a study of the 1.83-mile, L-shaped segment, which is also known as 3rd Avenue North and Main Street.
The study proposes the construction of a bridge that would eliminate a railroad crossing. According to a release, the county is applying for a grant to fund that part of the project.
Following the meeting at the Aurora Community Center, county engineers will move into the design phase of the project, which is slated for the 2026 construction season.
With state funding, the city plans to upgrade its utilities while St. Louis County reconstructs the road.
More information on the project is available on St. Louis County's website.
