GRAND RAPIDS — The Itasca County HRA and One Roof Housing will host two informational sessions about owning a home through a community land trust.
Area residents making between $18 and $43 an hour could purchase a newly constructed home, with down payment and closing cost assistance up to $70,000 available for qualifying buyers, according to an informational flyer.
Community land trust is a new homebuying option for Itasca County. Prices range from $185,000 to $225,000 for newly constructed two- and three-bedroom homes.
Lunch and dinner sessions will cover the new homebuying option at the Itasca County Family YMCA from noon to 1 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, with meals and refreshments served during both events.
