NISSWA — Drivers along the Highway 371 corridor between Nisswa and Jenkins can expect lane closures and delays for a two-week project in early September.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will micro-surface the pavement, sealing minor cracks, pavement ruts and other irregularities. The work will occur on weekdays in segments, weather permitting.
Drivers will encounter periodic lane closures, lane shifts and delays. Work is expected to be completed in the middle of September.
MnDOT is planning future improvements to the Highway 371 corridor between Nisswa and Baxter and is accepting public input through Sept. 9.

Early reports indicate most of the damage was in the Merrifield area. Tornado sightings were also reported near Casino, Lake Shore and Nisswa, which may be the same twister.
