CROSSLAKE — A 10-year-old girl from Pine River is recovering after she fell from the back of a pickup truck Saturday during the Crosslake St. Patrick’s Day parade.
The Crosslake Police Department reports the girl fell off the back of the truck and a float trailer passed over her an hour-and-a-half after the parade began. After an initial report, Crosslake police later clarified to the Echo Journal newspaper that the girl was not run over by trailer tires.
She was treated on scene by first responders and flown by helicopter to North Memorial Health Hospital in the Twin Cities.
As of Monday morning, the girl was released from the hospital and is recovering from minor injuries.
