HIBBING — A 38-year-old Meadowlands woman has died after she was struck in the chest by a tree branch while riding as a passenger in a side-by-side ATV.
Area first responders and law enforcement were dispatched to the incident shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday on a designated ATV trail located south of Hibbing.
The woman was transported by ambulance to Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing, where she was later pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriffs Office.
