Leah Lemm talks to Noreen Thomas, an organic farmer outside of Moorhead, MN, with Doubting Thomas Farms.
It’s the very beginning of March, I'm in Callaway, MN at the Indigenous Farming Conference, hosted by the White Earth Land Recovery Project. At this time, the COVID-19 pandemic is just starting to really take a foothold in the US, it’s the same weekend at the cancellation of SXSW. And I’m pretty sure that this conference will be my last large gathering for a while. But I’m relaxed and hopeful as I see all the work people are doing in Northern Minnesota and around the country to ensure healthy local foods are available to their communities. But there are many unique ways in which they’re going about it, as well.
