Igo has represented northern Aitkin, southeastern Itasca and western St. Louis counties, including the cities of Coleraine, Nashwauk, Hibbing, Hill City, McGregor and Floodwood, in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2021.
He is co-chair of the House Housing Policy and Budget Committee and also serves on the Energy Policy and Budget and Ways and Means committees.
“I am deeply honored to represent the hardworking people of our home,” Igo stated in his campaign announcement. “Together, we’ve made real progress in strengthening our economy, investing in infrastructure, and protecting the way of life that makes Northern Minnesota special. I’m running for re-election to continue that work and to continue advocating for our communities’ future.”
Igo won reelection in 2024 by more than 20 percentage points.
The small business owner emphasized his continued commitment to bipartisanship in his announcement.
"Our region's challenges don't have partisan solutions," he wrote. "They require partnership, listening, and a shared vision."
