Will Timothee Chalamet finally get his first Oscar? Was The Secret Agent the best foreign film of 2025? Does F1 really deserve a Best Picture nomination?
These are no doubt the questions that have plagued you since the movie awards season started. Luckily, KAXE's self-proclaimed movie buffs Membership Coordinator Heather Johnson and producer Andrew Dziengel are here to help you find answers.
They have taken it upon themselves to break down the major awards for the 2026 Academy Awards: who deserves to win, which performances got snubbed and what was the best film of 2025.
The Mom of Pop Culture, Julie Crabb, also joins them to discuss all the Best Picture nominees.
While they couldn't all agree on who will win Best Picture (Crabb said Marty Supreme, Johnson Sinners and Dziengel One Battle After Another), they could agree that this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Oscars ceremonies yet, with no clear frontrunner to win most of the awards.
Listen to their full conversation above, or tune into KAXE at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 14.
The Academy Awards air at 6 p.m. Sunday on ABC and Hulu.
