No matter how old they get, some daughters still have their dads wrapped around their little fingers. Don Zieman's daughter requested he put together an album of the folk songs he performs for his grandchildren and shortly after, Don set out to creating his newest album, Minstrels of the Northwoods. The CD includes lullabies, folk classics and regional favorites all of which are collaborations between Don and many of his northern Minnesota musician friends. Initially meant to be a keepsake for his family, Don is selling his album at Headwaters School of Music and Arts in Bemidji where half of all proceeds will support student scholarships at Headwaters School. In this segment of Area Voices, Don talks about the folks who added their musical talents to the album and the messages he hopes to convey thru the songs he included.
