Watermark names 2023 High School Art Show winners

On display was student work from high school art programs at Bemidji, Laporte, TrekNorth and Voyageurs. April visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to cast ballots for their favorite pieces including photography, painting, mixed media and more.

BEMIDJI — The Watermark Art Center announced winners of its 2023 High School Show.

  • Sculpture: Leila Greiner. 
  • Native American Arts and Crafts: Andrea Klasen. 
  • Drawing: Cooper Kuzel. 
  • Print Making: Carlos Mendoza. 
  • Digital Art: Caitlyn Peters. 
  • People’s Choice Award: Ava Patten, pencil drawing, Portrait.

The annual High School Show is one of Watermark's most highly attended exhibits, organizers stated. The 2023 High School Show is made possible in part by financial support from First National Bank Bemidji.
