NISSWA — Jaspar Lepak will bring her poetic melodies to Nisswa on Friday, March 24, for a Grassroots Concerts performance.
Lepak is working on a new album focusing on feminist themes, including songs about choice, pregnancy, parenthood and caregiving.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at the Live Well Nightclub and Coffee Bar in the Journey Church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is first-come, first-served. The concert venue is 5459 Lakers Lane, Nisswa, next to the school.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 with listening attention when accompanied by an adult. At each concert, nonperishable food or cash donations are welcomed and will go to a local food shelf.
This will be the 350th concert in the series that began in 1988. For more about Grassroots Concerts, a nonprofit, volunteer-driven group, go to grassrootsconcerts.org or call Artistic Director Dawn Stattine at 218-838-4266.
