There's a new collaboration in Minnesota that directly relates to economic development and the pandemic and career development.

With the growth of outdoor activities and power sports during the pandemic, MN based company Polaris has been searching for ways to deal with the increased demand on dealerships to maintain vehicles.

Central Lakes College in Brainerd is in partnership with Polaris to create a Service Technician Education Program - a means to bridging the skills gap and fill job opportunities.

Bridget McLennan is the Vice President, Dealer Services of Polaris and she told us more about the new program that has expectation to train 80 student technicians in the near future.

Heidi Holtan is Director of Content and Public Affairs. She manages producers/hosts and is the host of the KAXE Morning Show, including a variety of local content like Phenology, What's for Breakfast, Area Voices, The Sports Page and much more, alongside Morning Edition from NPR.
