Today we welcomed back Annie Knight and John Sumption from Northern Waters Land Trust. They introduced us to Edward Jones Financial Planner from Park Rapids Derek Jensen. Our conversation centered on planning for succession of your family cabin. There is a free workshop virtually and at the Cass County Land Services Department in Backus coming up Thursday September 20th from 4-5:30pm.

Experts will present the consequences of not planning ahead, common scenarios, and several options for transferring your property ownership. *panelists are not providing legal or tax advice and the workshop should not be seen as a replacement for seeking individual advice from a trusted professional advisor. This is a free informational session to help you consider the questions you should be asking and help you evaluate what's important for your legacy.

The mission of Northern Waters Land Trust is to preserve land to protect water.
