Our series on the rapid growth of solar power in Minnesota continues this morning with a look at solar opportunities for people in the Bemidji area.
Our guests were Anna Carlson - Assistant Professor at Bemidji State University’s Center for Sustainability Studies and Minnesota program director for Solar United Neighbors Virginia Rutter, a national organization that helps people and businesses plan and develop solar power in their communities. Virginia is working with Anna Carlson and others to build the Bemidji Solar Co-op. They are also beginning meetings on an Iron Range Solar Co-op that includes communites on Hwy 169 from Grand Rapids to Ely.
