Do You Ever Feel Like An Imposter?

Author and former Canadian TV Host Nancy Regan's New Book is "From Showing Off to Showing Up"

Today on the Thursday morning show we had a real, authentic conversation bubbling with vulnerability.

There’s a phrase. “Imposter Syndrome”. It’s described as feelings of self doubt and personal incompetence that persist despite your education, experience and accomplishments. To counter this you may work even HARDER – holding yourself to an EVER higher standard.

Nancy Regan is a professional communicator – her career includes tv and podcast including the national host of Good Morning Canada – interviewing some of the most famous people on the planet like Oprah and Madonna and Harrison Ford. But she too, has felt like an imposter.

Her new book is out (to be published in the US in March). From Showing Off to Showing Up – An Imposter’s journey from perfect to present.

Heidi Holtan is Director of Content and Public Affairs. She manages producers/hosts and is the host of the KAXE Morning Show, including a variety of local content like Phenology, What's for Breakfast, Area Voices, The Sports Page and much more, alongside Morning Edition from NPR.
The Music Director at KAXE since 2014, Kari (pronounced Car-ee) Hedlund reviews music on the daily. She hosts Headwaters every Wednesday (9 a.m. and 10 p.m.) and some Mondays, and is co-host to Heidi Holtan on the Thursday Morning Show.
