Larkin Poe are a Nashville-based band fronted by sisters Megan and Rebecca Lovell. Their southern roots, blues-rock sensibilities and fantastic live shows have made them a standout act.
Barely in their 30s, the Lovell sisters have already been performing for nearly two decades. In the past they would write and compose separately, only coming together after the songs were mostly completed.
With their latest and seventh album, Bloom, they embraced a collaborative approach and wrote songs together for the first time. They also involved Rebecca's husband Tyler Bryant, co-producer of the album. The result is a record that pushes the boundaries of their signature blues sound.
Drawing from their upbringing in north Georgia, Larkin Poe leans heavily into their Southern roots both lyrically and sonically. Tracks like "Nowhere Fast" channel the storytelling charm of the South, while the album as a whole blends country-infused blues-rock, heavy on guitar work.

If Bonnie Raitt and Brandi Carlile joined forces, they’d blend into the tones of "Mockingbird," while the vocals of "Easy Love, Pt. 1" bring the soul of the Commodores to mind.
Blues-rock anthems like "Bluephoria," “Pearls” and "Nowhere Fast" stand out for their grit, while the haunting blues ballad "If God Is A Woman" is a standout on the entire record. On songs like "Fool Outta Me" and "You Are the River," they channel a distinctly Americana feel.
Larkin Poe’s talent, versatility and place at the crossroads of various musical genres is at the center of Bloom.
