Waiting Days is Pert Near Sandstone's 8th studio album.

Waiting Days by Pert Near Sandstone is KAXE's Album of the Week for Oct. 23 - Oct. 29, 2023.

On their 8th album Waiting Days, Minn. bluegrass group Pert Near Sandstone continue to expand their modern string band sound.

Songs like "Out of Time" and "Clouds Are Gathering" echo the unease and tension of modern society.

Despite the sense of dread they are able to capture, Pert Near still find solace and even joy in familiar bluegrass themes like trains and life on the road.

Listen to KAXE all week long to hear tracks from Waiting Days.
