The beginnings of “Eye on a Bat” by Palehound were written a cross country trip from Oregon to the east coast as the world was shutting down in Spring 2020.
A project from queer singer-songwriter El Kempner, Palehound has released their 4th album that, in spite of its origins is not a record about the pandemic; rather a proclaimed breakup album.
Coming in just under 30 minutes, Kempner manages to present an assortment of sounds, vibes and feelings: fuzzed out rock songs, fantastically layered harmonies, humor, love, with a couple ballads in the mix.
