KBXE volunteer host Michael Bruhn joined "Centerstage Minnesota" on Friday, June 9, 2023, to talk about the 2nd St. Stage concert series in Park Rapids.

PARK RAPIDS — From June 15 to August 17, Thursday evenings in downtown Park Rapids will be alive with music.

Now in its 11th year, the 2nd St. Stage concert series begins this week with Joyann Parker, a blues singer from Minneapolis. KBXE volunteer host Michael Bruhn, who books artists for the series, joined Centerstage Minnesota to share information about the shows.

“I think it raises the profile of our community,” said Bruhn, “and the crux of it is that people can see what the town is about.”

Shows run 6-8 p.m. and take place on a closed off street in downtown Park Rapids. They will feature other Minnesota artists like Pert Near Sandstone, Corey Medina & Brothers, Rich Mattson & The Northstars and more.

For more information on the concert series, listen to Michael Bruhn’s full Centerstage interview above.
