MINNEAPOLIS — Before Good Morning Bedlam released their latest album Lulu in 2022, they released every song on the album as a single.
According to lead singer Isaak Elker, the group is sticking with that plan in 2023.
“It's really fun to have something to keep fans looking forward to every five to six weeks” he said on the Friday, June 2, episode of Centerstage Minnesota.
The Minneapolis-based band released two singles this year, part of a larger EP Dear Day, Dear Darling to be released in full this fall. “Elemental” came out in March and “All My Friends” was released the same day Elker joined Centerstage Minnesota.
Along with keeping audiences interested, the band’s approach to releasing music helps the group maintain a high standard.
“It makes sure that no song on the record is fluff,” Elker said, “because they all have to be able to stand alone.”
