Events Up North June 29-July 5: Magical Fry Bread events, Bemidji Jaycees Water Carnival

Events this week include the beginning of the Northern Lights Music Festival in Aurora and the First Friday Art Walk in Grand Rapids.

  • Tuesday Summer Concert Series - noon at Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids, featuring Patchwork
  • Magical Frybread Drive-In - 5:30 p.m. at Headwaters Music & Arts in Bemidji

Wednesday, July 1

  • Parking Lot Party - 10 a.m.-noon at Park Rapids Area Library. Kids can enjoy snacks, crafts and games.
  • Turtle Fest - 1-3 p.m. on Main Street in Longville. Every Wednesday through Aug. 12.
  • Bemidji Jaycees Water Carnival - 5-9 p.m. at Bemidji waterfront (Entertainment tent near Paul Bunyan & Babe the Blue Ox statues, Merriam's Midway at Sanford Center parking lot.)
  • Magical Frybread Drive-In - 6 p.m. at Fire in the Village (Room 203 at Old Central School) in Grand Rapids
  • Northern Lights Music Festival Opening Night Concert - 7 p.m. at Veda Zuponcic Auditorium at Mesabi East High School in Aurora. See full festival schedule for more events.
