- Winter Nature Art for Kids - 10-11 a.m. at Lake Bemidji State Park
- Snow-Tastic Science - 2-3 p.m. at Lake Bemidji State Park. This program will be canceled if the temperature is below zero.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
- Friends of the Brainerd Public Library annual meeting - 5-7 p.m. at the Brainerd Public Library. Learn about the group's work and how you can get involved. A light meal will be served.
Thursday, Jan. 22
- Grand Rapids Community Diabetes Support Group - 7 p.m. at the YMCA Active Living Center. This month's topic is medication therapy management.
Friday, Jan. 23
- "Echoes Beyond the Pit" local history talk - 1 p.m. at Hoyt Lakes Public Library. Mike Sterk will present the history of Erie's Preliminary Taconite Plant.
- Staged reading of The Pillowman - 7 p.m. in the Dryden Theater at Central Lakes College in Brainerd. Free, but seats may be reserved ahead of time by calling 218-855-8199.
Saturday, Jan. 24
- Winter Rendezvous - 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Deep Portage Learning Center in Hackensack
- Lumberjack Jaunt - 9 a.m. registration at Northland Arboretum in Baxter
- A Closer Look series: Finches - 10-11:30 a.m. at Sax-Zim Bog near Meadowlands
- Ski-Palooza - noon-3 p.m. at Three Island Park in Bemidji. Join KBXE staff to cross-country ski, snowshoe, fat tire bike, play music or just hang out. Bring a snack to share.
- A Closer Look series: Owls - 1:30-3 p.m. at Sax-Zim Bog near Meadowlands
- Bemidji Contra Dance - 6:30 p.m. at Lammers Town Hall in Solway
Sunday, Jan. 25
- A Closer Look series: Woodpeckers - 10-11:30 a.m. at Sax-Zim Bog near Meadowlands
- A Closer Look series: Chickadees - 1:30-3 p.m. at Sax-Zim Bog near Meadowlands
