Friday, Sept. 26
- Association of Cass County Lakes meeting - 9:30 a.m. at the Cass County land office in Backus
- Honktoberfest Festmasters' Ball - 6 p.m. at Biwabik Pavilion
- Modern dance film showing: Feû - 7 p.m. at the Mask and Rose Theater in Puposky
Saturday, Sept. 27
- Honktoberfest - 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Biwabik
- Brainerd Lakes Area Walk to End Alzheimer's - 9 a.m. registration at Forestview Middle School in Baxter. Ceremony begins at 10 a.m. with the walk to follow.
- Itasca Pride Community Tree Planting - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Northern Lights Community School in Warba. Events include a free barbecue, live music, games and disc golf.
- Loon Country Arts presents the Great Northern Art Show - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Beltrami County History Center in Bemidji
- A Year in the Life of North America's Woodpeckers - 2 p.m. at Sax-Zim Bog. Meet at the Lois King Education Center.
