- Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning presents "Forest to Fork: The Foraging Adventure" - 9 a.m. at the Gonvick Community Center. Emily Thabes will lead a discussion on how to safely and legally harvest wild foods.

- Car seat inspections - 4-6 p.m. at the Virginia Fire Department
- Grand Rapids Farmers' Market fundraiser - 4-6 p.m. at Rapids Brewing Co. with a silent auction, refreshments and local vendors.
- Poetry SUPER SLAM - 6 p.m. at Fozzie's Smokin' BBQ in Bemidji. Hosted by Watermark Art Center.
Friday, April 18
- Friends of the Brainerd Public Library's Big Spring Book Sale - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Westgate Mall in Brainerd
Saturday, April 19
- Goats 101 - 9 a.m. at Clearwater County Courthouse in Bagley. Ora Mord will teach youths all about goats and will cover topics such as different goat breeds, goat management, vaccinations and more.
- Media Makers: The Women Informing Our Community - 10 a.m. at Beltrami County History Center in Bemidji. KAXE's very own reporter Larissa Donovan will be on a panel along with Annalise Braught from the Bemidji Pioneer and Meghan Jewett from Lakeland PBS. Hear personal stories and how local journalism is evolving to meet the needs of Northern Minnesota. Free, with limited seating.
- Container vegetable gardening talk - 10 a.m. at Bemidji Public Library with Master Gardener Dan Sherman.
- Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning hosts historian Arn Kind on the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution - 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bagley American Legion. There will be an intermission with appetizers served.
- Bemidji State University Powwow - Grand entries at noon and 6 p.m. at the BSU Physical Education Complex Gym. Supper provided at 4 p.m.
- Bemidji Contra Dance - 6:30 p.m. at The Loft. Dance to live acoustic music from Leatherwood. All dances will be taught by the caller. No partners or experience needed. All ages welcome.
