Wednesday, Oct. 23
- Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning program, "Life as a Viking Woman" with Alethea Kenney - 9 a.m. at Gonvick Community Center
- "Spooked" Story Slam - music at 6 p.m., stories at 7 p.m., Keg 'n Cork, Bemidji

- "Take Back the Night" - 6 p.m., Central Lakes College, Brainerd. Panel discussion on partner violence, followed by luminary design, campus walk and bonfire
- Itasca Empty Bowls - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. at Timberlake Lodge in Grand Rapids
- National Bat Week events - 3 to 5 p.m., Deer River district office of Chippewa National Forest, 5 to 7 p.m., Norway Beach visitor center near Cass Lake
- Trivia Night, hosted by KAXE/KBXE staff - 6 p.m., at either Bemidji Brewing in Bemidji or Klockow Brewing in Grand Rapids.
Friday, Oct. 25
- All Hallows Haunted Trail - 7 to 9 p.m., St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Bring a nonperishable food item and cash donation for Second Harvest Food Bank.
Saturday, Oct. 26
- Trunk or Treat - noon to 2 p.m., Hibbing City Hall. One free pumpkin per child, while supplies last.
- Halloween Carnival - 1 to 3 p.m., Northern Lights Community School in Warba.
- Trunk or Treat - 4 to 6 p.m., Northland Arboretum in Brainerd. The "low-scare" trail will be open as well
- Night at the Yurt - 5 p.m. early childhood hour (ages 1-5), 6 to 7:30 p.m. walks and activities at Apple Blossom Village in Bemidji
- Flannel Fest - 5 to 8 p.m., Historic Kaleva Hall in Virginia. Sloppy Joe meals with live folk, bluegrass and Finnish music from the Lindula Brothers
- Meatball and lefse dinner - 4 to 6:30 p.m., Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids
- Itasca Orchestra concert - 7 p.m. at Reif Center in Grand Rapids
