Five female graduates from Brainerd High School will be inducted into the school’s Legendary Women Hall of Fame on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

BRAINERD — Brainerd Public Schools announced the induction of five women into the Legendary Women Hall of Fame.

The award was established in 2018 and celebrates female graduates who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service and achievement.

The celebration is Thursday, March 21, at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts, with social hour at 4:30 p.m. and program at 5 p.m.

The Hall of Fame celebrates female graduates who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, leadership and service. This year's honorees are Rachel Pernina Oliver Burke (1934), Heidi Holtan (1987), Amy Wallin Price (1989), Dr. Jennifer Person (1993), and Elissa Hansen (1997).

Heidi Holtan and Kari Hedlund recently spoke on the KAXE Morning Show with Linda Engel, who was inducted into the Legendary Women Hall of Fame in 2021. She is also part of the selection committee. Inductees to the Legendary Women Hall of Fame are nominated by community members.
