BEMIDJI — Creating with the pottery wheel, joining a rock band, singing with a choir or exploring a variety of art mediums are all experiences made available this summer by Headwaters Music & Arts in Bemidji.
The organization has already been busy with arts and music camps with five more opportunities remaining, said Tricia Andrews, executive director, on the KAXE Morning Show.
“It’s been a busy and fun summer with so many things still coming up,” Andrews said Thursday, July 6. “It's really, really been a good summer so far, for sure.”
Andrews said being in the building when the camps are underway is a fun experience allowing her to witness growth and transformation.
“There's those that take part for a number of years in a row, and to see them come in on that Monday morning, just grinning already, knowing that it's going to be that good week with getting to know others and the friendships that form from it,” Andrews said. “And then those that are coming for the first time … that are nervous and not knowing what to expect at all.”
