Border News Roundup: Gravel Roads, Spring Opener & Avian Flu

M. Helmberger

Border News Roundup with Marshall Helmberger

On the Friday Morning Show, Heidi talks with Marshall Helmberger the editor of the Timberjay Newspaper. This week they talk about the horrible conditions of the gravel roads in St. Louis County because of the prolonged winter.

Marshall talks about the upcoming fishing season, reporting strong numbers for the walleye count on Lake Vermilion. He and Heidi discuss the chance of open water for the fishing opener this year.

With the spread of the avian flu there is much discussion on whether people should stop feeding birds. Marshall tells us that most groups are saying the use of backyard feeders is still safe.
