Job Shortage Solutions, BWCA Permits Cut & Body Cameras on Border News Roundup

Marshall Helmberger and Border News Roundup

On the Friday Morning Show Heidi Holtan talks with Marshall Helmberger editor and publisher of the Timberjay Newspaper. This week they talks about the creative way that the City of Ely is looking to hire equipment operator trainees to help face their worker shortage.

We hear about the U.S. Forest Service plan to reduce the number of overnight permits in the wilderness, hoping this will help the crowding and over-use of the wilderness.

Marshall tells us about St. Louis County’s plan to equip sheriff’s department personnel with body cameras, and that county officials are seeking public input on how and when the cameras should be used.
