Sports Page: Lynx, NCAA, Spin Rates and Trivia

lynx.png

Sports Page is our weekly program on the Thursday Morning Show. This week Fried Freidman and Kyle Erickson join John Bauer and Kari Hedlund. They talk about the Lynx with Kyle stating that the Lynx have returned to being Minnesota’s only functioning professional sports franchise. They talk about the NCAA declaration that college athletes can profit off their likeness and how this effects the players and the teams.

Baseball talk includes the increase in spin rate in the NBL, what players to watch and the future for the Twins. Kari reads the trivia with the theme “home town, home states and home countries”.

John has been listening to KAXE since the early days in 1976, and has worked as our Development Director since 1995. You can hear him on the Morning Show on Thursdays and Fridays. He is also the women’s basketball coach at Itasca Community College. John loves animals, golf, and complaining about the Minnesota Twins.
Kari (CAR-ee) is originally from South Dakota … a state often referred to as the land of infinite variety. As Music Director at Northern Community Radio, Kari has taken that theme to heart with her ability to feed a community of listeners hungry for an infinite variety of music and ideas. Along with her trademark lipstick and husky voice … Kari also raises a family … and Baguettes when time permits
