"I don't have to shop to make myself happy, I don't have to travel to make myself happy, none of that stuff. I get tons of joy, I get it from painting and that's all I need...However old I live, I'll be happy doing this forever...I love it." -Kelli Lien
Kelli Lien was awarded a Region 2 Arts Council Fellowship in the fall of 2017. The funding, supported by the McKnight Foundation, allowed Kelli the ability to purchase equipment and supplies for her studio, upgrade her website, and frame her new work. In this Area Voices segment she shares how her fascination with watercolor began, her collage technique and the unique process of watercolor pours.
You can find Kelli's work at the Wild Hare Bistro in downtown Bemidji thru the end of February.
