Pine to Prairie Fiber Arts Trail This Weekend

Weaving by Karl Rangikawhiti Leonard

Jenny Wilder loves her fiber.  A couple cross country road trips inspired her to turn her energy toward connecting and showcasing fiber artists.   She’s been creating the Fiber Arts Almanac since 2010 and she’s been instrumental in organizing what are called fiber art trailsin North Dakota, Nebraska, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Iowa and Minnesota for.  This coming weekend north and west central Minnesota will be home to what is called the Pine to Prairie Fiber Arts Trail and of course Jenny Wilder will be right here in the thick of it, orchestrating the events and hitting the trails herself.  She spoke with us on the morning show about what's going to happen this weekend and how the fiber arts trails have created a tightly woven community of fiber artists across the midwest.

This year the Fiber Arts Trail features weavers, felters, basket artists,  beadworkers, hand dyed yarn, rug hookers and more.  For more information about the Fiber Arts Trail, go here
