Keg n' Cork: Outdoor Dining in Place for Local Restaurants

This week restaurants throughout the state have been opening under new rules for the COVID-19 pandemic that allow outdoor seating.  Tyler Winkka, owner of the Keg n' Cork in downtown Bemidji, joins Maggie Montgomery on the Wednesday Morning Show to talk about the new changes.  Tyler describes the new outdoor setting which expands into the sidewalk and parking areas on the street, through permission from the city.  The Keg n' Cork now has tables with umbrellas, potted flowers and safety barriers set up in front for customer dining.  They are working on permission to add more tables in the alleyway allowing room to accommodate for the 50 person capacity allowed by the new regulations.

Tyler tells us what it’s like to run a restaurant during these trying times, shares his appreciation for community support and talks about the menu changes. Maggie asks Tyler to describe “beaver droppings”, the most popular appetizer on the menu.
