Early Bird Fishing: Water levels are on the rise.

Early Bird Fishing Guide Jeff Sundin talks with John Bauer and Heidi Holtan on the Thursday Morning Show as he prepares for a day of crappie fishing.  They talk about the recent rise in water levels in the area with Jeff saying “Mother Nature, she’s got a flare for being able to ruin a perfectly good prediction”.  With the recent rain, water levels have gone from low to nearly flood level, making catching fish a bit trickier but good for spawning and reproduction for every species of fish.

Jeff reminds us that trout season opens this Saturday with one month to go before walleye opener.  To find a trout stream near you visit the MN DNR StreamFinder site.  For more on fishing in the north country visit jeffsundin.com.
