Early Bird Fishing: Walleye activity in the heat, eating smallmouth bass &tips on fishing a new lake

Smallmouth Bass

Early Bird Fishing Guide Jeff Sundin talks with John Bauer and Heidi Holtan on the Thursday Morning Show.  This week Jeff talks about how the walleyes are responding to this heat wave.  He tells us the warmer water temperatures have fired up the activity level, but only when the wind is blowing.  He reports the water temp on Lake Winnie is pushing 80 degrees, and he says that many lakes in the area are turning.  Jeff tells a story about fishing and eating small mouth bass on Lake Kabetogama and he gives tips on how to approach fishing on larger lakes that you have never fished before.
