Author Jeff Foster: For Which We Stand

Jeff Foster is an AP government and politics teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.  He joins Heidi and John to talk about his new book “For Which We Stand: How Our Government Works and Why It Matters”.  Jeff emphasizes that it is so important for everyone to understand our government, from ages 4 to 84.  This book was written for middle school students all the way up to their parents, informing you not only how the government works but what you can do as a citizen.

Jeff talks about his thoughts on voting and the election system, the Supreme Court nomination hearings and the divisiveness in our country today.  He ends with his motto “If you don’t participate you can’t complain”.
