second harvest.png

Sue Estee is the Executive Director at Second Harvest North Central Food Bank. She was our guest this morning to talk about Minnesota FoodShare march Campaign and why it's important to support our community and give time or money to those who are food insecure. As Sue told us, "most of us are just one crisis away from needing help".

As Second Harvest reminds us, hunger does not know seasons. Hunger happens all year long. Donating in the month of March means your dollars go even further with matching money.

To donate, learn how to volunteer or find out how you can get assistance go to their website or call 218-999-4135.

Also - coming up April 28th it's the Chef's Gala featuring hosts Aaron Brown and Heidi Holtan and celebrity chefs from Brainerd and Grand Rapids.

The Second Harvest Chef’s Gala is Thursday April 28th with a virtual event featuring celebrity chefs in Itasca and Crow Wing County. You can vote for your favorite chef in Itasca County it’s Tia Marie and Noah Wilcox, in Crow Wing County it’s Hara Charlier and Matt Killian. Go to secondharvestncfb.com for more information.
