Jeff Sundin on Early Bird Fishing Guide

Jeff Sundin joins Heidi Holtan on the Thursday Morning Show for Early Bird Fishing Guide. Jeff steals a line from B.B. King when describing the ice fishing season now, “The Thrill is Gone.” With the snow, cold and slush it is getting tougher to fish right now.

Jeff and Heidi discuss the 2022 fishing news with the talk of reducing the walleye bag limit. Jeff describes this as no longer a data driven regulation but a socially based regulation. It has become a contentious debate in Minnesota.

We are reminded that the season for walleye, pike and bass will end on February 27th in Minnesota, except for Lake of the Woods. Jeff reminds us that perch season is on the rise. You can find out about this and more at jeffsundin.com.
