A new segment we’ll be bringing to you on What We're reading is a look at children's books! We’ll be checking in periodically with Tracy Kampa, Children’s Librarian at the Grand Rapids Area Library. Tracy keeps up on all the children’s book publishing news and awards, particularly the Newbery and Caldecott awards in children’s publishing, a good indicator of some of the best children's books being published today. Tracy gives us some background information on these book awards, and a couple of new book she highly recommends.
