Conservation Conversations: The Importance of Conservation of the Mississippi Headwaters

This month on our CONSERVATION CONVERSATION we talked again with the folks from Northern Waters Land Trust.  They are a non-profit conservation organization working to protect water quality and preserve environmentally sensitive lands and water resources. They serve the watersheds in Cass, Crow Wing, Hubbard and Aitkin Counties of Minnesota.  Our Tuesday Morning guests from NWLT were Annie Johnson - Grants Manager/Conservation Specialist, John Sumption is also a Conservation Specialist and they have brought with them Todd Holman.

Todd is the Mississippi Headwaters Program Director for the MN-ND_SD Chapter of the Nature Conservancy office in Brainerd.

Heidi Holtan is KAXE's Director of Content and Public Affairs where she manages producers and is the local host of Morning Edition from NPR. Heidi is a regional correspondent for WDSE/WRPT's Duluth Public Television’s Almanac North.
