Opportunities for Entrepreneurs and Innovators in NE MN: Innovate 218 with IEDC

  We continued our conversation about new business and entrepreneurs this week.  Tamara Lowney  - Executive Director of IEDC – Itasca Economic Development Corporation brought Nick Tietz into the conversation with us about this Saturday June 5th's Innovation Workshop.

Nick Tietz has spent the last 15 years working as a serial entrepreneur, innovator, technologist, user experience designer, business and technology consultant.

Currently Nick is Founder and CEO of ILT Studios and their second startup called ILT Academy. Together they are focused on supporting underestimated innovators and entrepreneurs to building companies in underserved geographies that changes people’s lives, so profoundly they can’t imagine living any other way.

The 2 hr interactive, immersive virtual workshop works with participants (of any age) to learn and practice theprocesses and techniques to define and refine an idea’s core problem, solution, customer, and the potential opportunitiessurrounding that idea.

Through Innovate 218's, 2 hour virtual startup innovation workshop, participants will do the following:

• Asses, refine and articulate your business idea.

• Learn and practice innovation processes.

• Learn how to gain feedback to refine your idea.

•. Be able to explain your idea in a problem/solution format.

• Create a 1-page Problem/Solution/Customer document to

support the next steps in your startup adventure.
