MN Attorney General Keith Ellison Reminds Us to Keep Our Eyes Open for Scams and Fraud

MN Attorney General Keith Ellisonjoined us this morning to about his role and what his office is doing to combat frauds and scams during this pandemic.  He reminded us that his office is there for you - if you are seeing hoarding, are being scammed or are discriminated against you should contact his office 651-296-3353. 

The Attorney General is the chief legal officer of the State of Minnesota. The Office provides legal representation to over 100 state agencies, boards, and commissions and represents the State of Minnesota in state and federal court and administrative hearings.

The Office enforces state consumer protection and antitrust laws, regulates charitable institutions, and advocates for people and small businesses in utilities matters.

Keith Ellison is MN’s 30th attorney general.  His job is to help Minnesotans afford their lives and live with dignity, safety and respect.  Before serving as MN’s Attorney General he Represented MN’s 5th Congressional District and he also served in Minnesota’s House of Representatives.

Prior to that he was an attorney specializing in civil rights and defense law.  He is the 1st African American and 1st Muslim American elected to statewide office in Minnesota.
