The Greenway, Grand Rapids and Deer River FFA chapters are teaming up together to knock out hunger in Itasca County.  Their goals are:

-raise $18,000 to produce 60,000 meals which would feed the food insecure for 6 months

-Coordinate a minimum of 250 people to help package 60,000 meals

-Gather information and create a panel of experts on how to reduce food insecurity

The community can help with monetary donations, volunteer time and sharing information about Knock Out Hunger in Itasca County.

The FFA groups will hold an event on Saturday March 7th at Greenway High School for education and packaging for distribution of meals through Second Harvest North Central Food bank.
