Last week's Convention: The Complicated District 8th Race in MN

via Minnsota Brown credit: Jake Janski

Sam Brodey is the Washington DC correspondent for Minn Post.  He was in Duluth Saturday April 14th to cover the lengthy DFL District 8 convention where after 10 rounds, no endorsement was made.  This is one of the most expensive and most watched races in the nation.

There were 5 candidates running - Leah Phifer, Joe Radinovich, Jason Metsa, Michelle Lee and Kirsten Kennedy

Leah Phifer announced she was leaving the race yesterday (4/18/18) and the fascinating race for Congress continues.

Pete Stauber is the Republican candidate  and Skip Sandman is running as an independent.

Check Minnesota Brown's coverage here.   Listen to Heidi Holtan's Making Sausage conversation here - she talked to many of the delegates after the convention.
