Girls Who Code - Jobs in the Future

https://girlswhocode.com/

Did you know that computing skills are the most sought after in the US job market but the share of women in the computer workforce has declined from 37% in 1995 to 24% today.  If Reshma Saujani and her crew at Girls Who Code has any say in it, that number will change.

She started the non-profit Girls Who Code, and now there's a book and new fiction series to spur girls to invent and as she says, change the world.

Heidi Holtan has been involved with KAXE since 2002. Now as Director of Content and Public Affairs she manages and is the host of the KAXE Morning Show, including a variety of local content like Phenology, What's for Breakfast, Area Voices, The Sports Page and much more, alongside Morning Edition from NPR. Her latest project is Ham Radio: Cooking with Amy Thielen.
