Musharraf's Willingness to Cede Power Questioned

The assassination of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto has changed the political landscape in Pakistan, undermining the strength of the opposition. Upcoming parliamentary elections — which had appeared to be a critical next step for a country in political crisis — may be losing their significance.

Political analysts are wondering how much power President Pervez Musharraf is willing to give away.
