AIS and Businesses in Itasca County: A Water Summit

The 2018 Itasca Area Business Water Summit is Wednesday March 14th from 11-1pm.  Bill Grantges the AIS coordinator of Itasca County and John Davis from the Deer Lake Association joined us on the Morning Show today.

Itasca Area Business Water Summit to be held at the Timberlake Lodge from 11am - 1pm on Wed Mar 14.

The idea is to bring together representatives from area resorts, campgrounds, lake service providers, marine dealers, sporting goods and bait shops, fishing guides, and other similar area businesses who provide products or services to water-related visitors and property owners.  Our primary audience is those listed businesses, but the event is also open to the public.  An RSVP is required.  The idea is to raise awareness about AIS, and then invite businesses to partner to prevent further AIS infestation in area waters.

This event is hosted by Bill Grantges of the Itasca County AIS (aquatic invasive species) Program and co-hosted by Visit Grand Rapids and the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce.  Check out the  event flyer  https://goo.gl/DkGFhg
